Tips for Hiring a Wedding Limo

By Lisa Bronart

Your Wedding Limousine Service will see that you get around on your wedding day in style and comfort.

When to Hire Limousine for Your Wedding Anywhere from about 9-12 months before your wedding day. You will be asked for a deposit or credit card.

What to Ask When Hiring a Limousine Driver or Limousine Service How will your driver be dressed? Most reputable companies have their drivers in suit or tuxedo. Is the tip for driver included in the fee? The standard tip is 15-20% and is usually added to your bill- be sure and check! Ask about the car you are hiring - is it a current make, model and year? Make sure it is no older than three years. How many people can the car hold- this can vary - one the normally holds 10 people will not carry 10 people dressed in formal wear- and they won't be very comfortable either. When in doubt go to a larger size car.

Limousines and Weddings Some limousine services offer special services for weddings- they may include any extras like "Just Married" signs, balloons, flowers or "wedding march" horns.

Saving Money When Hiring a Limousine Service for Your Wedding Almost all limousine services have a variety of wedding packages. You may be able tosave a bit of money by scaling down - ask about hourly rates. You may not need champagne service or a driver for several hours. Ask about a discount for multiple vehicles. Keep in mind that limousine services do not offer a pick-up and drop off service- most will require a minimum of 3 hours. This covers the cost of their travel time and driver fees.
